OUR HEAD CHEF & HIS KITCHEN
Taking care of food and drink at The Methuen Arms is award-winning Head Chef (and General Manager – we like to keep them busy) Leigh Evans.
Having just been awarded their third AA Rosette, Leigh and his team are dedicated to sourcing the finest local ingredients, making everything on site from scratch where possible, minimising waste and adopting a nose to tail philosophy when it comes to crafting their menus; whether it’s for a simple pub snack or a more indulgent evening meal.
There’s nothing more satisfying or tasty than eating something you have grown and nurtured yourself.
With that in mind, last year we set aside a large part our garden to become the soul of The Methuen Arms kitchen as we strive towards ensuring our menu is as self-sufficient, seasonal and flavoursome as possible. We have become dedicated to growing as much of our produce on site as we can – we even have three beehives producing the most delicious honey.
We try to be as conscientious as possible with everything we do here, from the local suppliers we use in the kitchen all the way through to the natural bath products in the rooms.
